Build a foundation of skills to kick off your drawing practice. Gain a solid understanding of perspective, composition, value, shading, and more while working on practice drawings - from observation and technical exercises - and creative projects.

January 22 - Line & form, material use
January 29 - Shape & structure: geometry in nature
February 5 - Tonal values: light, shade & volume
February 12 - Perspective: 1 point & 2 point perspective
February 19 - Composition: arranging the visual field
February 26 - Texture & mark making
March 5 - Light in the landscape
March 12 - Perspective 2: organic perspective and atmospheric perspective
March 19 - Ink drawing: line, wash & contrast
March 26 - Drawing movement: wind, growth & flow
April 2 - From observation to abstraction: creative project
April 9 - Final project: nature drawing
Cancellation Policy
Students are responsible for attending the scheduled workshops and classes. Refunds are only available up to 5 days before the workshop or class. Partial refunds may be available in exceptional circumstances. Winter storms and cancellations: You will be offered a new date for the class or workshop and if it does not fit your schedule, you will be eligible for a refund.
